The George has a long history as a village inn and is traditionally described as dating from 1652, when it began life as a coaching inn.

The building is Grade II listed and retains historic character, including surviving elements of a 16th-century timber-framed building.

Inside, the pub combines its traditional character with photographs and features reflecting village life from years gone by.

The George offers traditional pub food and drink, with dining available within the pub and outdoor seating for visitors wishing to enjoy the village surroundings.

Its facilities include a bar and dining areas, outdoor seating and a real fire, providing a traditional country-pub setting throughout the year.
