Ledian Gardens
Ledian Gardens is a retirement community for people aged 65 and over, situated at the former Ledian Farm in Leeds village.
Operated by Inspired Villages, Ledian Gardens provides independent retirement living within landscaped grounds, together with a range of leisure, wellbeing and social facilities.
The development was completed in phases, with the first phase completed in 2022 and the second phase in 2024.
Homes at Ledian Gardens
Ledian Gardens comprises 115 homes, including one and two-bedroom apartments and cottages.
Homes are designed specifically for later living, enabling residents to continue living independently while having access to the facilities, activities and support available within the wider retirement community.
Properties may be available to buy or rent, subject to availability.
Facilities
Ledian Gardens provides an extensive range of facilities for residents, including:
- a wellness centre and relaxation pool;
- gym and fitness facilities;
- Bridges Restaurant;
- café;
- cinema;
- library;
- hair and beauty salon;
- landscaped gardens and grounds; and
- a range of communal and social spaces.
A programme of activities, clubs and events also takes place throughout the year.
Bridges Restaurant
Bridges Restaurant is located within Ledian Gardens and serves food using locally sourced ingredients where possible.
The restaurant is also available for bookings by members of the wider community.

Part of the Leeds Community
Since the original plans for Ledian Gardens were developed, an important aim has been for the retirement village to become part of the wider Leeds community rather than operate in isolation.
Residents are encouraged to participate in local activities, clubs and volunteering opportunities, providing opportunities for new residents and the established village community to come together.
Ledian Gardens also holds its own activities and events throughout the year.
